On 17 May, the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia (IDAHOT), join AWID’s global feminist community in a live conversation with queer feminist activists from Ghana. Learn about how queer and feminist collectives are organising to resist homophobia, and how you can be in solidarity with Ghanaian activists.

Facilitator: Nana Darkoa Sekyiamah, Director of Communications and Tactics, AWID

Speakers:

  • Dr Rita Nketiah: Research Consultant, Writer and Queer Feminist Activist
  • Nana Akosua Hanson: Radio/TV presenter, Artistic Activist and Founder of Drama Queens
  • Laila Yahaya: Director, One Love Sisters Ghana

The conversation will have simultaneous interpretation to English, Spanish and French; as well as Closed Captioning in English.
