The East African Girls’ Leadership Summit (EAGLS) and Mentor Programme develops the critical leadership skills of girls and young women to support them on their journey to becoming effective change-makers in their communities. The programme seeks to build a strong regional advocacy network to advance gender equality. The two-year Mentor Programme is designed to strengthen the capacity of women to lead and achieve impact in the work they are doing to advance gender equality with diverse communities in East Africa. The program trains women in creative leadership, mentorship, facilitation and advocacy skills through a series of levelled pieces of training that occur in August and December.
