TROUBLEMAKERS, this pandemic has shifted so much of our activism online. But how do we wield the power of direct action on the digital terrain?
Join us on Thursday December 2 (4-6pm GMT) for a DIGITAL DIRECT ACTION ROUNDTABLE DISCUSSION focused on building revolutionary digital power with Jaime Villarreal of the tech coop May First Movement Technology; Stella Nyanzi, who was imprisoned by Uganda’s dictator for her groundbreakingly vulgar digital activism; and Andreas Grarup Nielsen, who helped develop a free app for free internet.
The conversation will be facilitated by Beautiful Trouble toolbox editor Darya Alikhani. We will also be releasing new digital tools including THE MOVEMENT COMPASS — an easy-to-use animated tool for simplifying movement organizers’ strategic planning. The Movement Compass is based on years of research and development by Movement Net Lab, movement theorist Bill Moyer, activist-anthropologist Isa Mayah Mukibi Benros, ActionAid, and our team at BT. And it’s fun! We’re so excited to gift it to fellow Troublemakers.
This is one you won’t want to miss — a defining occasion of our time! Register now at https://bit.ly/3FGVpv1. Do also extend the invitation to those who may appreciate it.
