Yasmin El-Beih

Advocacy Communications Lead

Yasmin El-Beih is a journalist, editor, and communications consultant with 7+ years of experience in the media world. She has published her writing in Al-Monitor, Open Democracy, BBCNature Middle EastThe National, New Lines, and many other online outlets. Yasmin also has experience in media monitoring, covering a broad range of current affairs with a focus on the Middle East region. At the Advocacy Accelerator, Yasmin leads the production of outreach materials, as well as various visibility, amplification, and digital media activities.

Yasmin holds an interdisciplinary M.A. in Media Practice for Development from the University of Sussex, where she studied on a Chevening scholarship. She also attended the American University in Cairo on an Academic Achievement Scholarship, earning her B.A. in Comparative Literature with minors in Creative Writing, Theatre, and Political Science. Her more recent interests include new media, podcasting, and documentary filmmaking.
