Exeutive Director, Women Enabled International
Deadline: June 10, 2022
Women Enabled International (WEI) seeks a strategic, forward-thinking leader and skilled nonprofit strategist to be our next Executive Director (ED). The new ED will build on more than a decade of global leadership advancing the rights of women, girls, and nonbinary people with disabilities at an exciting time for the organization and the field.
The new ED will work to deepen the reach and impact of WEI’s work at the global, regional, and national levels following the founding ED’s retirement. Responsible for both long-term planning and day-to-day operations, the ED will lead organizational development and strategy, fundraising, Board relations, employee management, and provide program oversight. The ED will have the skills to manage a rapidly growing organization. With a current staff of eleven and an operational budget of $1.8 million, WEI has doubled in size over the past three years.
In addition, the next ED will bring strong knowledge of disability rights and justice, international human rights, and intersectional feminism. As the primary spokesperson for WEI, the ED will be responsible for cultivating a broad network of partners, funders, and supporters and catalyzing partnerships within the disability justice and feminist movements.
As a tireless champion of our mission, vision, and values, the next ED will bring the humility, self-awareness, and bravery to uproot oppressive power structures and fuel disabled feminist leadership inside and outside WEI.
