The journey towards revolutionizing youth-led advocacy in Africa took flight in 2017 when a group of visionaries at Amref Health Africa co-created the Y-ACT, Youth in Action project to address challenges faced by youth. Four years down the line, Y-ACT has made tremendous strides towards building the capacity of young people to shift the policy landscape in matters in sexual and reproductive health and gender equality.
