The webinar convened by the Strategic Initiative for women in the Horn of Africa (SIHA Network) will bring together activists, women human rights defenders, civil society and development partners to discuss the increased risk and exposure to violence that women and girls are facing within the current COVID-19 pandemic. As a matter of fact, the disproportionate impact of COVID-19 on women and girls in the Greater Horn of Africa stems from structural and systemic inequalities that existed before the pandemic.
