This report presents findings from multi-method qualitative research with young people in Kenya, one of the several elements of the British Council’s Next Generation Kenya Research and Advocacy Project. Kenya is one of many ‘youth bulge’ nations, facing the dual opportunity and threat of a sizable young adult population rising to meet an economy that does not yet have obvious roles for them to fill. This means pathways to economic stability can be unclear – but also that there is opportunity for creative, exciting new pathways to be forged by a new generation.
