Data-Driven Accountability and Domestic Resource Mobilization for Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights Commitments: A Practical Workshop for Civil Society

November 11, 2019 @ 9:00 am - 2:30 pm

Monday, November 11, 2019 from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

There is global recognition of the need to mobilize governments, multilaterals, the private sector and civil society to address major health challenges. This has led to positive commitments from governments and other actors to improve the lives of women, children, adolescents and families over the past several years.

Sustaining action on global and country commitments is not easy. Monitoring, reviewing and determining accountability and financial needs that will translate commitments to impact cannot be effective without solid engagement mechanisms driven by civil society.

This workshop will help civil society understand the sexual and reproductive health and rights commitment landscape; learn about promising data-driven accountability and domestic resource mobilization approaches; explore opportunities for promoting country-level interventions; and capture lessons to inform the development of an accountability and domestic resource mobilization framework.
