2022/2023 ALC Fellowships and KCL MSc Scholarship Awards

The African Leadership Centre (ALC) is pleased to announce a call for applications for Peace, Security & Development Fellowships and King’s College London (KCL) MSc scholarship awards for the academic year 2022/2023.

Our Fellowship Programmes

African Leadership Centre (ALC) Fellowships

1. Fellowships for African Scholars in Peace Security and Development (degree awarding): This fellowship is available to young African scholars interested in pursuing research and academic careers in peace, security and development. It includes post-graduate study at King’s on the MSc Global Leadership and Peacebuilding programme. Applicants will need to create an account on the King’s website here and apply under the Peace and Security Fellowship Programme. 2. Fellowships for African Women in Leadership and Peacebuilding (degree awarding): This fellowship is available to young African women, particularly from conflict-affected contexts, interested in pursuing research, policy and practise careers in the field/s of peace, security and development and with an emphasis on leadership. It includes post-graduate study at King’s on the MSc Global Leadership and Peacebuilding programme. Applicants will need to create an account on the King’s website here and apply under the Peace and Security Fellowship Programme. 3. Fellowships for African Women in Peace, Security and Development (non-degree awarding): This award is available to young African Women in the early stages of their careers seeking to deepen their knowledge and experience in the fields of Leadership, Peace, Security and Development. It is a residential program based at the ALC in Nairobi, Kenya. Applicants to this non-degree fellowship programme may also be considered for the Early Career Peace, Security and Development Fellowship.

MSc Scholarship Awards at King’s

King’s College London (KCL) Awards

1. Newsweek Scholarship in Global Leadership and Peacebuilding for International Students (2 awards available): This scholarship funding is available to international students applying for the MSc Global Leadership and Peacebuilding at King’s College London, for the 2022/23 academic year (beginning in September 2022). It is available to students studying full time only. Students from developing countries are encouraged to apply. Learn more about the scholarship here.

 2. Richemont International Scholarship for the MSc Global Leadership and Peacebuilding  programme for an African student living in the UK (1 award available): This scholarship funding is available to an African student living in the United Kingdom applying for the MSc Global Leadership and Peacebuilding at King’s College London, for the 2022/23 academic year (beginning in September 2022). It is available to students studying full time only. The student must be of African heritage and eligible for home fees.  Learn more about the scholarship here.

3. School of Global Affairs Global Leadership & Peacebuilding Postgraduate Scholarship award (1 award available): This scholarship funding is available to all students, including those from the UK and EU, and applying for the MSc Global Leadership and Peacebuilding at King’s College London, for the 2022/23 academic year (beginning in September 2022). It is available to students studying full time only.  Students from the UK and EU are welcome to apply. Learn more about the scholarship here.
