Yves Niyiragira

Advisory Board Member

Yves Niyiragira is an organisational leader with more than 12 years of experience in policy analysis, organisational development, change processes, advocacy and management of multi-country campaigns focusing on the African Union legal instruments. He is the Executive Director of Fahamu, an organisation that works on social justice issues in Africa, with offices in Nairobi, Kenya and Dakar, Senegal.

As an independent consultant, Mr Niyiragira has worked on policy development and advised civil society players on policies, governance and democratisation processes in Africa. He is a board member of Open Hands Studios, an American not-for-profit organisation that works to preserve the culture, values and civilisation of minority groups in developing countries.

Mr Niyiragira has a Master’s degree in International Relations from the United States International University-Africa, Kenya.
